UN chief Guterres to visit Haiti as gang violence surges

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will visit gang-ravaged Haiti on Tuesday to show solidarity with victims of violence in the impoverished Caribbean nation long plagued by political, economic and security woes. More than 5,000 people have been killed over the past year amid escalating gang violence.
