Victims’ families spoke in court as Heuermann, 63, was imprisoned for killing spree that spanned decades Rex Heuermann, the Manhattan architect who methodically planned and carried out the murders of eight women over at least 17 years on Long Island, was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole.
